  just came back from the s.p. post office where "deb' the interim manager has refused to hand over a document that my neighbour had given me authority to collect. 'Deb' said she didn't believe that the letter of authority sent to me by my neighbour, to be given to them , was legitimate ! ... even though the letter not only contained the written authority, but included his licence ID & photo as proof. My neighbour is currently in tahiti and wanted me to collect it on his behalf before the collection time ran out(tomorrow).
  The only hint of sanity came when deb said that, although she was 'unsure' about giving the document to me, she would make sure that the document would not be returned to sender when the stated time limit ran out, but would be held until the neighbours returned 2 weeks later, and that she personally would leave a note with the document to ensure this will happen!
  
  update.....my neighbours arrived back from overseas this week & went into the s.p. post office to collect their document and, you guessed it, the clowns running the show had returned the document to the sender!!
  The manager admitted that the authorization i was given was correct and it should not have been refused. And no, they would not help with the return of the document. "not our problem"!
  please, please please don't go anywhere near this circus disguised as a post office.
